Moringa Tea

Moringa comes from the miracle tree. Moringa leaves are 25 % protein and contain all essential amino acids.  A 2014 study  published in Journal of Food Science and Technology  found that  consuming 1  ½ teaspoons of moringa powder every day for 3 months increased antioxidant levels in the blood.

High blood sugar levels is one of the main characteristics of diabetes. Moringa may help balance those levels. Moringa is a natural antidiabetic, because it contains chlorogenic acid, which stabilizes blood sugar levels.

Moringa is also antifungal and antibacterial , meaning it can help protect the skin from infections. Because it’s herbal tea moringa contains no caffeine so you can drink it any time of the day or night.

You will need:

  • 10 ounces of water
  • 1 teaspoon dried moringa leaves
  • A bit of honey (optional)

Directions:

  • Start by bringing water to a rapid boil in a tea kettle or on the stove top.
  • Place the tea leaves in a tea ball or tea infuser and place in the hot water.
  • Remove from heat and allow to steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Sweeten as desired and enjoy!

Aloe Vera Tea

Aloe  Vera tea can be used for many different ailments. It can be used as a wash for eyes and wounds, used to treat burns or even help treat skin conditions such as rashes or insect bites. It contains enzymes and natural sugar, helping you with diabetes. This tea is highly nutritive, helping to nourish the brain and skin.

You will need: 

  • 1-2 cups of water
  • 1 bag decaffeinated green tea
  • 1 large aloe Vera leaf.

Directions:

  • Boil the water
  • Steep the tea in a cup, cut the leaves in half, scrape out the clear jelly and stir into a cup of tea.
  • You can add lemon juice and honey.

Aloe Vera can help improve the metabolism, and burn the fat faster, it also eliminates toxins in your blood, helping you lower cholesterol levels. Aloe Vera has been used as a remedy for thousands of years, and is still used today.
